Activities
Eating Out
Occasional evening meals can be provided at South Tregleath Farm by prior
arrangement. Numerous restaurants and inns are within easy reach, serving
a wide range of cuisine to suite all tastes. From award winning eastern
cuisine, to traditional English pub food at our local Inn - both just one
mile away. The nearby town of Wadebridge (3 miles) has many good restaurants
including Thai, Indian, Italian, and Spanish restaurants. Padstow (15 miles)
is of course famous for Rick Stein’s
seafood restaurant but also has many other fine places to eat.
Places to Visit
Situated in North Cornwall approximately halfway between the fishing port
of Padstow and the world famous Eden Project, South Tregleath Farm is the
ideal base for a break in Cornwall. The privately owned gardens and house
of the Pencarrow estate are open to the public. The Camel Trail is a must
for cycling enthusiasts, walkers and pony trekkers alike and highly recommended
is a visit to the Camel Valley Vineyard. All these activities are
within one mile from the farm. Lanhydrock house and gardens is a National
Trust property, just 5 miles away. A little further afield are many beautiful beaches
and coves including Rock, Polzeath (famous for surfing) and the quaint fishing
village of Port Isaac - all within 30 minutes drive. For an easy day trip
a visit to the newly opened National Maritime Museum Cornwall in Falmouth,
Lands End and the Tate St Ives are highly recommended. There are many beautiful
walks on the Coastal Paths around Cornwall and of course Bodmin Moor is just
10 minutes away.
We are pleased to offer our guests course fishing in our own lake - free of charge to those staying 3 nights or more. Please enquire…
